DART: Deep Address Recognition Technology
DART: OCR Engine is an app that can recognize Urdu and English hand written text or addresses. The app is developed as a demo application for local and international postal service vendors to demonstrate full potential of Address recognition, printed or handwritten, ENGLISH or URDU addresses.
It can also serve as an OCR App for Urdu handwritten text as well as English handwritten text.
It is based on a modified CRNN model trained with LSTMs to detect line level Urdu handwritten text as well as English handwritten text. It's based on a self improving system which learns from the data it sees.
Developed as a senior year project of three Software Engineering college students of School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, National University of Sciences & Technology.
